Foods To Eat For Good Skin

How is what we eat important to looking after our skin? What we put in our bodies helps nourish our skin by providing our cells with vitamins and nutrients needed for healthy skin from within. When looking at foods for the skin ensure you include Fresh fruits that are high in Vitamin C. Vitamin C is important in the production of collagen which helps keep our skin plump and fit. Foods rich in Vitamins C, A and E is what to look for. As discussed in previous pages, Vitamin A is needed to encourage moisture retention and helps prevent skin cell damage.

Fresh Fruits: Melons, Mangoes, Oranges, Lemons, Apples, Bananas, Grapes, Berries

Fresh Vegetables: Red Capsicum, Carrots, Broccoli, Sweet Potatoes. When you cook with fruits and vegetables, try and limit the cooking process. Cooking these foods also reduced nutrients and vitamins in the foods.
